Hara Museum ARC Members-only Event: Special Lecture and Viewing of Lee Ufan – 15th Anniversary of the National Art Center, Tokyo

For this event, participants will be treated to a lecture by Mr. Naoki Yoneda, senior researcher at the National Art Center, Tokyo, followed by free viewing of the exhibition on their own.

Lee Ufan
Born in South Korea in 1936, Lee Ufan is widely known as the theoretical pillar behind the Japanese Mono-ha movement that was active from the 1967 to the late 1970s. He came to Japan in 1956 and has been showing works both in Japan and abroad for more than 50 years. In 2010, the Lee Ufan Museum opened in Naoshima, Japan and in 2015 the Space Lee Ufan annex at the Busan Municipal Museum of Art in Korea. During the past few years, his sphere of activities has expanded to include Europe where he held a solo exhibition at Centre Pompidou-Metz, France in 2019.
