Guiding us through the show will be Yukie Kamiya, chief curator of the museum and coordinating curator of the show. This exhibition was co-curated by the National Art Center, Tokyo and M+ in Hong Kong, one of the leading institutions of visual culture in Asia. Exhibition Information
Prism of the Real: Making Art in Japan 1989–2010

This exhibition asks the question: What kinds of art emerged in Japan and was disseminated from it during the two decades between 1989 and 2010? Through the practices of more than fifty artists from both Japan and abroad, it presents a multifaceted view of art in which multiple histories and contexts coexist, while examining Japan not merely as a geographic origin, but as a platform for artistic creation over these two decades from both national and international perspectives.
