Hara Museum ARC

This bus tour departing from Takasaki Station will take you to Hara Museum ARC for a talk by Yoshitomo Nara, one of the artists represented in the Hara Museum Collection who continues to be active at the forefront of the global art scene. This is a rare chance to hear the artist talk about his life from childhood until today, with a focus on the solo exhibition Yoshitomo Nara: The Beginning Place currently being held in his hometown of Aomori at the Aomori Museum of Art.

In addition, you can view the current exhibition Opposite the Sun Is Where the Blue Sky Lies: Works from the Hara Museum and the Hara Rokuro Collections, take a guided tour of the Open-View Storage that is normally closed to the public and wander around the adjacent Ikaho Green Bokujo recreational ranch where you can enjoy communing with animals and many other activities. Put on some warm clothes and spend an early-winter day at an art museum in the highlands!

*Each session takes 30 minutes/Maximum 15 persons per session/Advance reservation required.

18:00 Depart from Hara Museum ARC.

Making a Reservation
Applications will be accepted between 11/10 (Friday) to 11/17 (Friday). Please send an email to event@haramuseum.or.jp with “12/2 Takasaki Bus Tour Application” on the subject line and the following items in the body:

・Names, addresses and ages of all participants.
・Contact information of all participants (a cell phone number that can be reached on the day of the tour).
・Request to join one of the guided tours of the Open-View Storage.
· Membership number (if a member).
・Name of school (if a student).
