Meet the Artist: A Talk by Yoshitomo Nara

Hara Museum ARC is happy to announce a talk by Yoshitomo Nara, an artist who continues to be active at the forefront of the global art scene. This will be a rare chance to hear the artist talk about his life as a youth in his hometown of Aomori until today, with a focus on the solo exhibition Yoshitomo Nara: The Beginning Place currently being held at the Aomori Museum of Art.
Also, while the artist’s semi-permanent installation My Drawing Room is on loan to the Aomori Museum of Art, other works by Nara will be on special display for the duration of the current exhibition Opposite the Sun Is Where the Blue Sky Lies: Works from the Hara Museum and the Hara Rokuro Collections. We hope will come to the museum for this very special occasion.

Participation fee for the general public: 1,500 yen
Participation fee Hara Museum ARC members: 1,000 yen

*Members of the general public must pay a separate museum admission fee.

Making a Reservation
Please apply by email to event@haramuseum.or.jp between 11/10 (Friday) and 11/17 (Friday). Write “Application for 12/2 Yoshitomo Nara Lecture” on the subject line and the following items in the body:
・Name of all participants
・Contact information (a cell phone number that can be reached on the day of the tour)
・Membership number (if a Hara Museum ARC member)
・Name of school (if a student)

*If the capacity is exceeded, a lottery will be held. Lottery results will be conveyed to all applicants by email on 11/19 (Sun.).
