Aiko Yamamoto NATURE COLOR PICNIC Workshop at Hara Museum ARC

Date(s) : September 30, 2023 (Saturday)

Time : 13:30-15:30 (Registration begins at 13:00)

For this event, the artist Aiko Yamamoto will hold a fabric dyeing workshop.
Dyeing is a process made possible by the forces of life: water, earth, fire, wind, plants, minerals and living things. We invite you to experience this process as you dye fabric remnants using plants native to Gunma and minerals from the water of hot springs. Activate all of your senses of sight, touch and smell and exult in the rich tactile qualities of the materials and fabrics. Through this workshop, both children and adults can enjoy the rich nature of Gunma. Participants are invited to take home the fabric remnants that they dye.

This program is being presented as part of the Gunma 2023 AIR Art Project Learning Program.
