Hara Museum ARC

By Train:Take the Joetsu / Hokuriku Shinkansen to Takasaki, change to the the Joetsu / Agatsuma Line and disembark at Shibukawa. From Shibukawa, ARC is 10 minutes away by taxi or 15 minutes away by bus (the Ikaho Onsen bus or the Ikaho Harunaguchi bus to Green Bokujo Mae). See below for sample routes.

By Expressway Bus from Tokyo (JR Bus Joshu Yumeguri)Take an expressway bus from Shinjuku or Tokyo bound for Shibukawa Station, Ikaho, Kusatsu Onsen. Get off at Shibukawa. From Shibukawa, ARC is 10 minutes away by taxi or 15 minutes away by bus (Ikaho Onsen bus to Green Bokujo Mae). For details, go to JR Kanto Bus.

Kan-etsu Kotsu Takasaki Station – Hara Museum ARC Bus Route This service connecting Takasaki Station directly with Hara Museum ARC is offered by Kan-etsu Kotsu on the first Saturday of every month from April 2025 to January 2026. Highly recommended for visitors coming via Takasaki Station.

Route: West Exit of Takasaki Station – Ikaho Green Bokujo Mae – Hara Museum ARC
Fare (one-way): 1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for children. No reservation required. *Pay with cash or pre-paid IC card (Suica, etc.) when exiting the bus.
Service period: The first Saturday of every month from April 2025 to January 2026. *A one-day special service will be offered on Sunday, March 23, 2025. See below for schedule.
Transport time: About 1 hour
Boarding location: Takasaki Station West Exit, bus rotary stop 5
Exit the ticket gate at Takasaki Station, turn right and go towards the west exit. Upon reaching the pedestrian deck, turn left and go down to the bus rotary.
*Look out for “Takasaki Montres” and “Takasaki Opa” as landmarks for the west exit.

Timetables effective April 1, 2025

By Car:Take the Kan-etsu Expressway to the Shibukawa Ikaho Interchange. Go in the direction of Ikaho Onsen for 8 km (about 15 minutes) until you reach the Ikaho Green Bokujo. Take the access road off the main road to reach the museum. Free parking is available for cars and large buses. Disabled parking is also provided.
