Be they flowers or fruit, these bowls will enhance the color beauty of whatever you place in them in such a way as to grace any table or cabinet. These lens-shaped bowls were ground from single two-color blocks of acrylic resin using high-precision machine tools. The positioning of the color boundary at the center of the bowl increases the mystery to its gradations and mixing of hues. These bowls are the result of three years of materials research carried out by the designers together with Sakura Plastics, an industrial parts maker in Yokohama. Sakura Plastics produces a variety of products of high strength and durability using acrylic resin. These bowls were produced by highly skilled artisans using some 20 different processes.
