Artist Talk: Haris Epaminonda

Date(s) : July 6 (Saturday), 2019

Time : 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Participating Artist in Mercedes-Benz Art Scope 2018-2020

For this Artist Talk, we’ve invited Haris Epaminonda, an artist from Cyprus who recently won the Silver Lion award at the 58th Venice Biennale which began this May. The artist is currently an artist-in-residence in Tokyo under the auspices of the Mercedes-Benz Art Scope 2018-2020 program. Epaminonda will speak at the Hara Museum about her past activities and current residence in Tokyo.

The Hara Museum has been a partner with Mercedes-Benz Japan in Art Scope since 2003, a program that promotes artist exchange between Japan and Germany. Tsuyoshi Hisakado was the Japanese artist selected for residence in Berlin for the 2018-2020 program. Next June, these two artists plus one past Art Scope participant Meiro Koizumi (2011) will be featured in the Mercedes-Benz Art Scope 2018-2020 exhibition at the Hara Museum.
Cooperation and residency program coordination provided by: Arts Initiative Tokyo [AIT]

*This talk will be given in English with Japanese interpretation.
