mama!milk
A duo consisting of accordion player Yuko Ikoma and contrabass player Kosuke Shimizu, mama!milk has given site-specific performances at places such as old theaters, cruise ships, ruins, temples and museums throughout the world. Their music, rich with foreign overtones, has been described as “music that invites you to travel,” “Cinematic Beauty,” or “Japanese New Exotica.” At times, they take part in various ensembles and have released a number of albums and soundtracks for movies or art pieces. In June of this year, they provided the music for Akira Shirai’s Othello, for which they performed at various venues. In July, they released their newest work, Duologue (WINDBELL).
